AP US Government & Politics

This blog is for students in Ms. Aby-Keirstead's AP US Government class in Bloomington, MN. It is for students to post their thoughts on current events and governmental affairs. Students should be respectful & think of this forum as an extension of their classroom. The instructor has the same expectations for classroom discussion & blog posts. These posts will be graded for both their academic merit & for their appropriateness.

Welcome to our blog!

Welcome to AP US Government and Politics! I am excited to be working and learning with you this semester. We will focus this term on the 2010 midterm elections. This blog will give us a great way to use current events to explore some of the main topics we'll be studying this term (the role of interest groups, how candidates finance their elections, the importance of midterm elections in Congressional and presidential power, how different groups of people feel politically, etc.)

Please put forward your best work on the blog this semester both in what you write in response to my posts but also in response to each other.

Please site the information you use so we can follow your argument.

Please see me if you want additional feedback on your blogging or help finding resources for your posts.

Again, welcome to our course. M. Aby
